Ethiopia, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, is a country located in the Horn of Africa. It is the second most populous country in Africa and borders Eritrea to the north, Sudan and South Sudan to the west, Kenya to the south, Somalia to the southeast, and Djibouti to the east. The capital is Addis Ababa, one of the major African cities and the headquarters of the African Union. Historically, Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world, with a history going back over 3000 years.
