Tanzania , officially the United Republic of Tanzania, is a country located in East Africa, known for its rich biodiversity and natural landscapes. It borders Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, and Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique to the south. To the east, it faces the Indian Ocean. The capital is Dodoma, while the largest city and main commercial center is Dar es Salaam.
