Review SAIsystem - SY-A04

Very good tracker at low cost via OBD connector.

SY-A04 comes with a link to Google Map where you can check the vehicle in real time. The point on the map is established at the time of purchase and, for those traveling in the city, it is recommended 1 minute. Instead, for those traveling on the highway, 3 minutes are the right choice.

The front is very simple:

USB : To charge the internal battery  when it is not connected to the OBD socket. Connected to the computer, the error "USB device not recognized" appears, but it is normal as it would require a specific program to communicate with the PC.

GSM: the yellow light warns that the connection with the SIM card is active and the tracker is correctly receiving the connection from the telephone operator.

GPS: the blue light signals that the connection with the satellites is active.

The tracker need a MINI SIM 

Which SIM to buy.

The tracker sends only data packets, so a rechargeable SIM card with a € 3 per month  is the most appropriate solution.

Additional costs

The tracking on the map is made via a dedicated server www.controllosatellitare.com at a cost of € 2 per month.

The SY-A04 is a professional, low cost tracker dedicated to vehicles equipped with the OBD connector.

The battery, outside the OBD connector, works only a few hours.

The location is very accurate.

The informations on the map are professional and extremely detailed.

Small size.

Warning: check if the OBD connector on the vehicle is in a favorable position  to receive the satellite signal.
