Review BIOKAP Shampoo Rinforzante 200 ml

Ingredients:

Let us examine the most significant ingredients in order of quantity as indicated on the label. I provide a brief summary for reasons of space. For the full text, studies and bibliography, just click on the ingredient and, if you want to go deeper, it is perhaps a little complex reading because these are scientific studies, but it clarifies the ingredient/health relationship.

Sodium coco-sulfate is a chemical compound of natural origin obtained from the sulphonation of coconut fatty acids, which is less irritating than the classic sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLES) and sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS), even though Sodium coco-sulfate has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) as its dominant component, a chemical compound on which clinical studies have found some sensitisation episodes. Nevertheless, the verdict on this anionic surfactant is positive.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice is one of the 400+ species of Aloe, a slow-growing perennial succulent plant. It contains antioxidant vitamins (A, C, E, B12), niacin, riboflavin and folic acid.

Coco-Glucoside is a non-ionic surfactant and is used as a foaming agent.

Glycerin Classic glycerine acts in cosmetic formulations in a number of useful ways that I summarise: denaturant, hair conditioning agent, humectant, oral hygiene agent, fragrance, skin conditioning agent, skin protectant, solvent and viscosity control agent.

Cocamidopropyl betaine It is a surfactant of synthetic origin and is used in cosmetics and body cleansers with an antimicrobial and foaming function. It softens hair and reduces static electricity in conditioners. However, it is considered an allergen.

Cocodimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed wheat protein is a chemical compound of plant origin derived from coconut fatty acid and hydrolysed wheat protein.  It is a multifunctional ingredient: antistatic, cleansing agent, hair conditioner, skin conditioner and surfactant with cleansing functions.

This shampoo has 40 ingredients and for the remaining 36 just click on the ingredient on the previous page.

Conclusions

Excellent shampoo, with high-level components. There is indeed some doubt about Cocamidopropyl betaine, but it is included in the fifth position on the label and therefore not in a relevant quantity.
