If the battery is not fully charged, the message "Battery plugged in, not charging" will appear when the mouse pointer is placed over the battery icon.
- Click Start
- Type "Device Manager"
- Expand "Batteries"
- Right-click and select "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery"
- Select "Uninstal"
- Device Manager - Action
- Select "Scan for hardware changes"
Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
