If the battery is not fully charged, the message "Battery plugged in, not charging" will appear when the mouse pointer is placed over the battery icon.

  1. Click Start
  2. Type "Device Manager"
  3. Expand "Batteries"
  4. Right-click and select  "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery"
  5. Select "Uninstal"
  6. Device Manager - Action
  7. Select "Scan for hardware changes"

Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
