Octacosanol or 1-Octacosanol is extracted from the wheat seed and has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties (1).

It also has the action of contrasting fatigue (2) and in this study the advantages of the component on human health (3) and the relationship with degenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease are discussed.
