Thickeners

Thickeners are used to thicken liquids or baked goods.

A pharmaceutical thickener helps older people with swallowing. They are normally used to facilitate the ingestion of drugs in tablet form. Some thickeners directly influence the dissolution and disintegration of tablets and may also delay their dissolution.

A cosmetic thickener is used to thicken products.
