Citrus Sudachi Peel Extract is a botanical ingredient obtained from the tree of the same name. The fruit is called Sudachi, is shaped like a pepper with a yellow colour, is not eaten directly because it is too sour (the taste is similar to unripe lemon) and is native to Japan. In Japan, there are about 20 varieties of citrus fruits that belong to the genus Citrus. Like all trees of the Rutaceae family, the fruit is used industrially by food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies. It contains numerous components of interest to human health such as flavonoids, terpenes, linalool, vitamin C, folic acid, with antioxidant properties.
