The Bruel & Kjaer 1047 Exciter Control has the following features::

• automatic sinusoidal Lin/Log sweep from 5Hz to 10kHz
• adjustable sweep limits for vibration exciters
• built-in vibration meter for constant Acc., Vel., Disp. excitation
• 1 cross-over frequency and 2 vibration level limits for D-A and V-A tests

Type 1047 Exciter Control gives sinusoidal sweep control of electrodynamic vibration exciter systems.
All solid state.
Logarithmic and linear electronic sweep in the frequency range 5 Hz to 10kHz.
Frequency counter with Nixie read-out in five digits. 0.1 Hz or 1 Hz resolution .
Automatic scanning 01 any predetermined pan of the frequency range.
Indicator lamps for sweep direction. LIN and LOG DC oc frequency outputs.
Two built-in vibration meter channels with common input and meter; average detection.
Automatic output regulator maintains constant acceleration. velocity or displacement when controlled by an accelerometer.
Adjustable regulation speed increases continously with oscillator frequency until selectable limit. then remains constant.
Dynamic range BOdB. o dB static regulation error.
Built-in compressor meter.
Manual choice of one of the two channels.
Automatic cross-over at preset frequency for performing D-A or V-A tests. 10r example . Additional cross-overs can be obtained by adding one or more Vibration Programmers ZH 0100 (eg .
D-A-D-A tests require two ZH 01 OO·s). Presetting of desired vibration level without vibrating the specimen.
Interlock in all relevant controls. A. B or C model.

The Exciter Control 1047 contains control circuits and integrating circuits to provide constant force, acceleration, velocity or displacement at the control point and to deliver any one of these signals to a graphic Level Recorder. It can deliver a sinusoidal signal to a Power Amplifier (2707)  and thereby to the Vibration Exciter which directs a vibrational force through a Force Transducer to the application point.

A "Cross over" is also provided for the automatic passage from one parameter to another when a preset frequency is reached.
