Citroën C3 – Model Year 2025
(Fourth generation “CC21” / ë-C3)

Country of manufacture

All versions destined for Europe (petrol, mild-hybrid and electric) are produced at the Stellantis plant in Trnava, Slovakia.

Brief description

Completely redesigned, the new C3 adopts city-SUV proportions (20 mm higher ground clearance, unpainted plastic wheel arches) while remaining compact at 4.01 m in length. The “Bold in & out” styling features the double-chevron “Y” light signature and a squared rear; drag coefficient drops to 0.32. Inside, it introduces the Citroën Head-Up Display dashboard (projection on a black blade, no cowl) and MyCitroën Play/Drive infotainment with 10.25″ touchscreen. Citroën Advanced Comfort suspension with progressive hydraulic cushions, extra 10 mm padded seats and standard center armrest complete the package.

Dimensions: 4,010 × 1,760 × 1,570 mm; wheelbase: 2,540 mm – boot: 310 L (ICE) / 290 L (BEV)

Why it convinces

  • Above-class comfort – Advanced Comfort® dampers and “sofa-effect” seats absorb city potholes with ease.

  • Complete, affordable range – Mild-hybrid under €22k, ë-C3 320 km ~€24k, 200 km version €19.9k (after incentives).

  • Simplified infotainment – Head-Up Blade always in view, 10.25″ central screen with wireless CarPlay/Android.

  • Physical climate controls – Dedicated knobs (no touchscreen menus for climate).

  • 100 kW DC charging – Rare among city-cars: 300 km added in under half an hour.

  • Urban safety – Emergency braking (night/pedestrian), lane keep, and traffic sign recognition standard on all trims.

CONS

Reported downsides

  • Modest performance – 113 hp BEV takes 11 s to 100 km/h; adequate but not quick.

  • Reduced BEV boot space – 290 L: 20 L less than petrol version with high loading lip.

  • FWD only – No AWD option for winter climates.

  • Hard plastics – Durable but not soft-touch, especially on rear doors.

  • Winter range (30 kWh) – With heating and 0°C, real range drops to 130–140 km.

  • No adaptive cruise control – Only standard cruise; ACC not available, even as an option.

Summary
The new 2025 C3 distills Citroën’s “comfort-centric” DNA into a modern urban format: high seating position, smooth ride and aggressive pricing. The 48 V mild-hybrid cuts fuel use with no complexity, while the ë-C3 delivers 320 km WLTP and 100 kW DC charging in a segment where 11 kW AC is often the max. Modest performance and budget finishes are trade-offs, but as a green daily city car with true TCO savings, the C3 is shaping up to be a 2025 best-buy.

Verdict — Citroën C3 / ë-C3 (Model Year 2025)
PureTech 100 48 V · PureTech 100 6-MT · ë-C3 113 hp (44 kWh)

The fourth generation of the C3 (project CC21) shifts toward a “SUV-inspired” design with a flat bonnet, Y-shaped LED headlights, and cladded wheel arches. The CMP-Evo platform hosts three powertrains:

  • 1.2 PureTech 100 6-MT (entry-level petrol)

  • 1.2 PureTech 100 M-Hybrid 48 V with e-DSC6 dual-clutch and 12 kW electric boost

  • ë-C3 BEV with 83 kW / 113 hp, 44 kWh net LFP battery, 320 km WLTP and 100 kW DC charging (20→80% in 26 min)

New “C-Zone” interior layout: 10.25″ central touchscreen with MyCitroën Drive Plus, LED head-up bar, second-gen Advanced Comfort seats, and standard Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® suspension.

Best suited for

  • Young city drivers — ë-C3 You 113 hp: priced under €24,000, 100 kW DC charging, ZTL access.

  • Mixed-use commuters — 48 V Hybrid Plus: real 4.7 L/100 km, full-EV driving for starts and parking.

  • New drivers — 1.2 PureTech 100 6-MT Sense: 100 hp, 5.4 L/100 km, low insurance.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want >130 hp petrol engines → Opel Corsa GSe or VW Polo GTI (still available).

  • You prefer giant touchscreens → Renault Clio OpenR 9.3″ or Hyundai i20 10.25″ dual.

  • You need cargo >400 L → Dacia Sandero Stepway or Skoda Fabia Combi (2026).

Recommended configuration

ë-C3 Plus + Tech Pack (L2 ADAS, Matrix lights, Qi charger) + 17″ Aero wheels: 113 hp, 320 km WLTP, 100 kW charging, 310 L boot and top PHC comfort; skip the 17″ if you often drive on rough urban pavement.
