E907 (Hydrogenated poly-1-decene) is a mixture ofbranched isomeric hydrocarbons, prepared byhydrogenation of mixtures of trimers, tetramers,pentamers, and hexamers of 1-decenes and ethylene.
It appears as a viscous, colourless, odourless liquid.

Safety
EFSA's Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings added to Food considers that exposure to hydrogenated poly-1-decene (E 907) does not raise safety concerns when used at the maximum permitted levels.
