What it is used for and where
Mangifera indica is a plant of the Anacardaceae family that grows in tropical and subtropical regions.
Phytochemical analysis has revealed a good content of carotenoids (neoxanthin, beta carotene), which have antioxidant activity. From the mango leaves, an extract is obtained that has demonstrated antibacterial activity. Mango peel has demonstrated anti-cancer efficacy.
