Allyl methacrylates cross polymer is a chemical compound, a cross-linked alkyl acrylate, a copolymer produced by an emulsion or solution polymerisation reaction. The polymer structure and properties of this ingredient can change depending on a number of variables such as the ratio of comonomers, the level of cross-linking and others.
What it is used for and where
Cosmetics
Emulsion stabilizer. Emulsions are thermodynamically unstable. Emulsion stabilisers improve the formation and stability of single and double emulsions. It should be noted that in the structure-function relationship, molar mass plays an important role.
Opacifying agent. This additive is inserted into formulations that may be translucent or transparent to make them opaque and less permeable to light.
Viscosity Enhancing Agent - non acqueous. Since viscosity is important for increasing the chemical and physical stability of the product, Viscosity Enhancing Agent non acqueous is an important dosage factor in gels, suspensions, emulsions, solutions. Increasing viscosity makes formulations less sedimentary and more homogeneously thickened.
