Adipic acid/1,4-butanediol/terephthalate copolymer is a chemical compound, modified terephthalate polymer, copolymer of adipic acid, butanediol and dimethyl terephthalate monomers, derived from terephthalic acid. Terephthalic acid is an aromatic carboxylic acid used in the production of polyester fibres.
Safety. Cases of allergy to terephthalic acid have been reported.

Cosmetics
Exfoliant. When the skin shows photodamage, pigmentation disorders, acne, actinic keratoses, or scarring, it may be useful to perform a procedure, using exfoliating ingredients, which is called chemical peeling (chemoexfoliation or chemical exfoliation) and which should improve or restore the skin's appearance.
