Cetyl tallowate is a chemical compound, the ester resulting from the reaction of cetyl alcohol with tallow acid. It is the ester of cetyl alcohol and tallow acid that is derived from animals.
It has a waxy solid or semi-solid consistency, cream-coloured or whitish at room temperature, softer or liquid at higher temperatures.
