What it is used for and where
Cosmetics
Lipid used in oil/water formulations for the formation of nanoemulsions to improve skin appearance with emollient function able to generate emulsions with viscosity lower than medium chain triglycerides and paraffin with values of 3.09±0.03 Pa-s Emulsifiers have the property to directly influence stability, sensory properties and surface tension of sunscreens, modulating their filmometric performance. Branched chain esters are currently the most interesting alternative to replace silicones in cosmetic formulations.
